Also available is the 2001-2002 CNI program plan, which was distributed and discussed at the fall meeting. This provides a view of CNI's priorities for the coming year. We will be mailing printed copies of this to CNI Task Force representatives along with the invitations to the spring 2002 task force meeting, which will be held in Washington DC on April 15-16, 2002. A call for submissions for this meeting will also be issued via CNI-Announce in the near future. In my opening presentation at the CNI meeting, I mentioned the National Research Council report on Broadband, titled "Broadband: Bringing Home the Bits", which had just been released (I had the privilige of serving on the committee that wrote it). This report is available online, along with various materials from the press conference announcing its release. If you go to http:www.nas.edu and enter "broadband" in the search box, you will find pointers to all of this material. I also want to highlight a report emerging from the Mellon-sponsored planning work on archiving of digital journals being done at Harvard which is now available; this report looks at the feasibility of developing a standardized DTD for submitting electronic journals into archives.
