*Planning Collaborative Spaces in Libraries: An ACRL/CNI Preconference
The need for technology-enhanced spaces for service delivery, teaching
& learning, and multimedia production in the library is increasing, and
many institutions are repurposing or renovating spaces for expanded use.
These new types of collaborative spaces include Information Commons,
Learning Collaboratories, and Multimedia Studios. During this session,
intended for librarians playing a leadership role in a planning process,
learn about best practices and models, explore the different types of
collaborative spaces, examine budget components and resource models,
develop an action plan, and receive a planning checklist to use at your
institution. Register online at https://cs.ala.org/annual/2003/. New
advance registration deadline: Friday, May 23, 2003
