I was fortunate to be able to attend this symposium, and some of the speakers were really extraordinary, with some very fresh and insightful perspectives. "The Impact of Digitizing Special Collections on Teaching and Scholarship: Reflections on a Symposium about Digitization and the Humanities" (.pdf: 70K/10 pp.) is available on the RLG Programs Web site. It consists of an overview and interpretation of perspectives provided at the RLG Programs symposium that was held in Philadelphia at the Chemical Heritage Foundation on June 4, 2008. Outputs from the symposium are also available online, including overviews, presentations and recorded sessions (.mp3 files).
