Symposium on Open Access, the Law, and Public Information The University of North Texas Libraries invites you to attend Open = Access, the Law, and Public Information. UNT's sixth annual Open Access = Symposium will take place May 19, 2015 at the UNT College of Law in = Dallas, TX. Mary Alice Baish (U.S. Superintendent of Documents) will = deliver an address about the new Federal Information Preservation = Network, the recent national initiative for public information in the = United States. The 2015 symposium will examine the broad issue of ensuring public = access to legal, government, and other varieties of public sphere = information. Presentations will include topics in IR deposit of public = and legal information, web harvesting and preservation of the government = web domain, the Uniform Electronic Legal Materials Act, and federal = mandates for preserving research data. This symposium typically brings = together researchers, librarians, administrators, and other OA = stakeholders with an interest in engaging with the broad topic of Open = Access.
