I wanted to share this call for proposals with the CNI community.I have=20
been to almost all of the earlier conferences in the series, and while=20
they have varied widely in focus, they are invariably interesting and=20
thought-provoking.

PDA is the only conference focused on the personal digital archive,=20
including projects and presentations from both individuals and=20
organizations. Personal Digital Archiving 2018 invites proposals on a=20
variety of relevant topics, including:

PDA is a 2-day, single-track conference featuring shorter sessions and=20
panel discussion, followed by a day of in-depth workshops and events.=20
Early registration (opening soon) will be just $60 for students / $90=20

CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Deadline for submission of proposals: December 22, 2017
Notification of acceptance: Mid-January 2018

For PDA 2018, we seek to create a balanced mix of personal information=20
management and personal digital archiving, in addition to a showcase=20
for exciting and innovative projects and programs. We strongly=20
encourage proposals from a wide-range of people and organizations.=20
These may include but are not limited to: community organizations=20
focused on gathering oral histories or other local collections,=20
academia, graduate students of all levels in all related disciplines,=20
those preserving familial material, activist groups, hobbyists, tool=20
developers, and information professionals such as archivists,=20
librarians, and curators. For proposals focusing on sharing practice,=20
please note that we are not seeking "perfect" archiving solutions and=20
strongly encourage proposals discussing "good enough" preservation and=20
challenges or roadblocks to archiving this content.
