In  September 2018, the Library of Congress convened this year's
edition of their outstanding invitational meeting on storage
architectures and technologies to support digital preservation; once
again, I was fortunate to be able to attend this event, and learned a
great deal.

The presentation and background material from this meeting are now
available, and offer a very valuable snapshot of the state of the art
in this area.
