We are pleased to announce a workshop on curating for reproducibility at Ha=
verford College on April 2-3, 2020.

Research reproducibility is a topic of increasing concern for researchers, =
funders, publishers, and the public. Reproducibility was recently defined b=
y the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, as =B4obta=
ining consistent results using the same input data; computational steps, me=
thods, and code; and conditions of analysis.=A1

Project TIER (https://www.projecttier.org)  and the CURE consortium (http:/=
/cure.web.unc.edu/) have teamed up to offer a workshop on curating for repr=
oducibility. The workshop will explore a model of curation in which the obj=
ect to be archived is a research compendium that includes not only the pape=
r, but the data, analysis code, and comprehensive documentation that ensure=
 transparency and reproducibility.

Who should attend?
The day-and-a-half CURE-TIER workshop is designed for librarians, archivist=
s, and information professionals who are interested in integrating principl=
es of transparency and reproducibility into data curation activities.

Application deadline is February 21, 2020. Space is limited!
Successful applicants will incur no cost for registration, lodging, or meal=
s. Some financial support for travel is available upon request.
