On December 9, 2024 the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) Commission on Fostering and Sustaining Diverse Digital Scholarship released its final report, "Over Stories to Tell: Recovery Scholarship and the Infrastructure for Digital Humanities". See
https://www.acls.org/resources/other-stories-to-tell/
This is an important and highly strategic report, and I commend it to anyone interested in the future of the humanities in the digital age. In the coming year, CNI will be exploring how it might help to advance some of the report's recommendations.
CNI has been tracking the work of the Commission since its launch in 2022, and has hosted several highlighted or plenary sessions exploring the group's evolving thinking. Video from several of these sessions are linked to the ACLS page above. On December 10 we had a session at the Fall 2024 CNI Membership meeting in Washington DC discussing the final report, and we'll be making video of that available in the coming weeks.
