The 2025 Paul Evan Peters Award recipients, Victoria Reich and David Rosenthal, look back over their two decades with the LOCKSS Program, overviewing both the Program’s initial goals, how they evolved as the landscape of academic communication changed, and how the Program’s technology developed. Closing Plenary A Conversation on Cybersecurity, Essential Cyberinfrastructure for Research and Education, and Resilience Moderator: Clifford Lynch, CNI Panelists: Brewster Kahle (Internet Archive), Elisabeth Long (Johns Hopkins University), Cheryl Washington (University of California, Davis), and Keith Webster (Carnegie Mellon University) The panel addresses the escalating intensity and frequency of cyberattacks on information systems and services and how these threats have highlighted the essential role of archives, repositories, and scholarly communications in supporting research and education cyberinfrastructure. Panelists discuss the complex and evolving threat landscape, the value of documenting and communicating the impacts and costs of breaches, and collective actions to strengthen resilience and security.
