We are delighted to announce that the Call for Submissions for the 20th International Digital Curation Conference, IDCC26, ( https://dcc.ac.uk/events/idcc26) is now open! The conference will take place in Zagreb, Croatia between 16-18 February 2026!
The main theme of IDCC26 is AI, austerity, and authoritarianism: contemporary challenges in digital curation.
Submissions are invited to consider how these forces affect the work of the digital curation community and steps we take to stay resilient. While recognising the financial and political challenges the contemporary environment presents, the call is open to optimism through examples of resilience and resistance in digital curation activities to sustain momentum in open scholarship and promote social change. You can get more information about the sub-themes for the conference on the Conference Theme page: https://dcc.ac.uk/events/idcc26/conference-theme.
Call for Submissions is now open
Submissions are open for papers, lightning talks, posters until July 11th, 2025, and workshops until July 25th, 2025: Papers - are for research or practice work which is suitably advanced, has substantial results, and reflections that would inform the work of the digital curation community. Lightning Talks - give an opportunity to showcase work in progress or completed projects that you believe offers insights or practical lessons that advance digital curation research or practice. Posters - offer a great opportunity to showcase and promote your work to the community through images rather than just words, as well as interact with others, gather feedback and exchange ideas. Workshops – have focused on practical, hands-on work, often being used for training.
