The=20 forum will take place on the day following the ARL Membership Meeting. The morning program sessions will examine policy issues with a focus on=20= improving access to scientific research. Speakers will address emerging=20= government policies, motivations of funding agencies and scientists,=20 and the challenges that the research and academic communities face as=20 new policies are implemented. The afternoon program consists of two=20 panels on practical solutions for implementing new policies: models for=20= engaging and supporting faculty to improve access to their own=20 research, and new tools and economic models that libraries are using to=20= foster institutional publishing programs.
