The report from the planning effort is now available at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/plan/lrp06/lrp06_home.html and is well worth reading. It addresses interactions between information technology, biomedical research, large-scale social trends, and the evolving role of the National Library of Medicine. Clifford Lynch Director, CNI
