CNI's longtime Systems Coordinator and Program Officer,
Craig Summerhill, is resigning his position effective August 22,
2000.  He has been chiefly responsible for the development
and maintenance of computing platforms and the networking
environment for CNI since 1991.

Craig arrived at CNI to set up our initial Internet server and
has seen us through transitions from ftp to gopher to the
WorldWide Web.  He has developed and managed many important
listservs for the CNI communities.

Craig has been an active participant in ALA's Library and
Information Technology Association (LITA), serving as a
director-at-large on their board of directors, chair of the
Telecommunications Interest Group and the Secure Systems and
Services Interest Group and Interest Group Coordinator.

Craig's immediate plans are to become a part-time student
at the University of Nevada, to play some golf, and to
look for a job in the western U.S.

Please join Clifford and me in wishing Craig the best and in
thanking him for his many years of service at CNI.
